Came accross this whilst I was looking for somthing else ! It is a Class 127 D M U Heading North-bound at West Hampstead .
The Bridge being re-built for electfication is the bridge which carries the ” North London Line ” over the Midland Main Line just South of West Hampstead Thameslink Station.
You will note the main lines are Still open for traffic . NO week-end Blockades in those days ! Passengers came First !! Also the D M U is carrying an oil tail lamp as all trains did in those days
I did not take this shot I bought it at Collectors Corner at Euston in the early 1980s .
The Back of the print is stamped Central Photographic Unit British Railways Board, General Offices Waterloo Station London. (Not the Marylebone address you would expect ).
I hope I am not causing copy right problems by posting this , but as the print was on Sale I guess not
