Q&A: I live in San Francisco, what is the best way to sell my stamp collection?

Question by Marc G: I live in San Francisco, what is the best way to sell my stamp collection?
I collected stamps when I was in a kid in 1970-1974. I have a lot (100-200?) of mint condition blocks of 4 with the plate number attached from this period, these probably include the majority of commemorative stamps issued during this period. Are these worth anything, and how do I find out what they are worth? Or should I start using them for mailing letters? I also have what is likely a “typical” kids collection of used US and foriegn stamps. Is this likely to have any value?
